The Tweed Coast Holiday Park Reserve Trust (TCHPRT) in partnership with the Crown Lands Division (formerly LPMA) has released a precinct plan for public exhibition and comment. The precinct plan includes a proposed new holiday park and residential development.

Proposed Cabarita Beach Holiday Park
The proposed Cabarita Beach Holiday Park will provide contemporary facilities including a range of accommodation options catering for families, tourists and locals looking for weekend escape or a short holiday.
Approximately 8.3 hectares of land will be developed comprising of around 200 sites. It is anticipated that approximately ten full-time staff positions be made available. It is also envisaged the park will generate significant demand for goods and services from the Cabarita or Tweed area.
Proposed Sandalwood Ave Urban Infill Residential Development
The proposed Sandalwood Estate will be built on land zoned for residential purposes and will integrate with the established residential areas. The Estate will utilise approximately 4.6 hectares of land and comprise of approximately 37 single house dwellings and some multi unit town houses.
