Brooklyn is located on the Hawkesbury River about 15 kilometres upstream from the entrance to the ocean at Broken Bay and about 40 kilometres north of Sydney.
There is a range of private and public moorings at Brooklyn as well as slipways and boat maintenance facilities, boat ramps and fuel.
The Hawkesbury Fishermen’s Cooperative is based at Brooklyn.
