Ulladulla Harbour redevelopment

Ulladulla is located on the south coast of NSW, some 220km south of Sydney and is situated around its picturesque and historic harbour. The harbour is a popular destination for locals and tourists, for recreational boating and fishing and is the focal point of the local fishing industry.

Background

There has been a shift in interest and demand within the community for recreational boating, commercial fishing and tourism. Opportunities for better access around the foreshore have also been raised by the community.

In recent years, the Land and Property Management Authority (LPMA) has developed a concept for revitalisation of the harbour in consultation with Shoalhaven City Council and the community.

As a result, an opportunity now exists for the private sector to participate in the redevelopment of the Crown land in the harbour and surrounds to provide enhanced facilities and attractions for locals and visitors. The redevelopment will be a major contributor to the regional economy and a valuable asset to the local community.

LPMA has developed the Concept Plan below in consultation with other government agencies and harbour stakeholders.

Current Situation

Expressions of Interest (EOI) were sought in 2008 from interested parties to develop Ulladulla Harbour.
