jas-anz logoThe Soil Conservation Service has achieved national and international accreditation for its quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems (Link to Policy Statements).

SCS has received British accreditation for its occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and Australian and New Zealand accreditation in its quality management systems and environmental management system.

It is SCSs commitment to clients that it is always striving to continuously improve its services.

The accreditation gives surety to clients that SCS operates under a set of parameters that align with internationally recognised rules and procedures.

SCS now has a clear set of procedures to follow in all aspects of its work including dealing with clients, setting up and managing projects, addressing environmental and safety issues, assessing, selecting and managing contractors. This provides a consistent high level of service to SCS clients state wide.

The organisation has been accredited in the following standards:

  • AS/NZS/ISO9001:2008 Quality Management Systems
  • AS/NZS/ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems
  • AS4801:2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
  • BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

The accreditation relates to SCSs major offices at Moss Vale, Goulburn, Parramatta, Orange, Newcastle, Tamworth and Nowra but the manner of doing business, as set out in the IMS procedures, are applied across the whole organisation.
