NSW Government real estate expert
The State Property Authority is the NSW Government’s specialist commercial real estate service provider.
With a focus on generic assets such as offices, warehouses, depots and car parks, the Authority adopts a strategic approach to maintaining, acquiring, disposing and developing government property.

• allows agencies to better focus on the delivery of key services to NSW communities.
Working closely with agencies
The Authority collaborates closely with individual agencies to meet their service delivery needs.
It applies its specialist industry knowledge, expertise and understanding of the unique requirements of government property management to deliver efficient and sustainable property solutions for its agency clients.
Principal objectives
The Authority’s principal objectives are fully outlined in the in the State Property Authority Act 2006. These are to:
- improve the operational efficiencies in the use of properties by government agencies
- manage the properties of government agencies in ways that support the delivery of government services by agencies
- advise the government on property matters
- operate at least as efficiently as any comparable business.
