The Public Reserves Management Fund (PRMF) is administered by the Land and Property Management Authority and provides funding as grants or loans to reserve trusts managing showgrounds, parks and reserves.
Among the funding approved from the PRMF this year is:
• $20,000 grant to the Newcastle Historic Reserve Trust to help fund building work;
• $17,000 grant to develop a plan to manage the bat colony at Kooloonbung Creek Reserve;
• $20,000 grant for ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation work on the Six Foot Track (pictured);
• $25,500 to help fund improvements at Bedgerabong and Parkes Showgrounds;
• $10,000 for Bidjigal Reserve Trust to help pay for track improvement work and bushland management.

If you want to apply for PRMF funding for your trust you should follow these three simple steps:
• Contact your local Crown Lands office for tips on getting your application approved. Details of local offices are available here.
• Print out an application form from the LPMA website – the forms can be found in appendix J of the Trust Handbook (pages 93 to 100).
• Submit your funding request to your Crown Lands office by 30 April.
More details about PRMF funding and other possible sources of grants for trusts are available in the Reserve Trust section of the LPMA website.
