The Public Reserves Management Fund (PRMF) is administered by the Land and Property Management Authority and provides funding as grants or loans to reserve trusts managing showgrounds, parks and reserves.
Among the trusts that have had funding applications approved this year are:
- Boggabri Showground and Public Recreation Trust - $50,000 consisting of a $25,000 grant and a $25,000 loan for the construction of a new amenities block at the showground.
- Burrendong Arboretum Trust – a $22,000 grant for safety work to be carried out at Burrendong Arboretum.
- Port Stephens Community Arts Centre Trust - $26,200 consisting of a $13,200 grant and a $13,000 loan to go towards the cost of installing a fire hydrant within the grounds of the reserve to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Mount Arthur Reserve Trust - $33,500 towards the cost of replacing its 4WD.
If you want to apply for PRMF grant funding you should follow these three simple steps:
- Contact your local Crown Lands office for tips on getting your application approved.
- Print out an application form from the LPMA website – the forms can be found in appendix J of the trust handbook (pages 93 to 100).
- Submit your funding request to your Crown Lands office by 30 April.
