Ashford Showground is a valuable community meeting place where horse shows are a popular event.
LPMA has a budget of $660,000 in the Public Reserves Management Fund for improvements at showgrounds this year.
Funds are provided as grants or loans to reserve trusts managing showgrounds.
Funding offered so far this year includes:
- A grant of $10,000 and a loan of $10,000 to the Ashford Showground Trust towards the cost of upgrading the power system at the showground.
- At Walcha Showground, a grant of $4,000 and a loan of $6,000 for replacing water pipes, upgrading the PA system and providing additional lighting.
- A grant of $10,000 and a loan of $15,000 towards the cost of improvements at Bathurst Showground.
- A grant of $2,000 and a loan of $1,000 towards the cost of replacing the water pipes at Candelo Showground.
- A grant of $8,088 and a loan of $10,000 for upgrades to the electrical system in the grandstand, the BBQ bar, the Produce and Main Pavilions and the Stan Kellaher and Secretary buildings at Gresford Showground, near Maitland.
- A grant of $18,416 and a loan of $18,000 to the Tenterfield Showground Trust towards the cost of upgrading toilet facilities at the showground.

- Contact your local Crown Lands office for tips on getting your application approved.
- Download an application form from the LPMA website www.lpma.nsw.gov.au
- Submit your funding request to your Crown Lands office by 30 April.
